Kinsale Voices Concert 2022 raised funds for KYSS
Posted by KYSS on Monday 5 September 2022

After a break of two years, Kinsale Voices were delighted to hold an in-person concert in May 2022. In the past, the venue of choice has been the historic St Multose Church and once again, Rev. Peter Rutherford welcomed them for their performance in this beautiful church. They were joined by the Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir who performed their own favourite songs and later they enjoyed singing joint songs which had been rehearsed separately & performed together for the first time that evening.

Kinsale Voices chosen charity for the retiring collection was Kinsale Youth Support Services (KYSS) and they were delighted to raise €751 funds which will go directly to help children and families who need assistance.

The Rev. Peter Rutherford had great pleasure in presenting the cheque to Ger Rice who is a KYSS Health Support Worker.  Three members of Kinsale Voices Choir attended also for the handover.

All singers are welcome to join Kinsale Voices; they are open to all & there is no requirement to read music.  They meet & rehearse on a Monday evening from 7.30pm to 9pm at Madden Park and their new term will start on Monday 12th September.  Their Facebook page facebook.com/kinsalevoices gives further information. They would like to thank Rev. Peter Rutherford, Kinsale Voices Music Director, Patrick D’Alton and the Music Director for the Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir, Mary Walsh for making this special concert a reality.

Thank you Kinsale Voices on behalf of KYSS for this generous donation.
